Wolf Haven

When I return to Olympia, I plan to volunteer at a local wolf sanctuary called Wolf Haven. On my last visit there I had a chance to snap some photos of these amazing creatures.

Kia looking over her shoulder at her friend Cricket.

A restful Kia enjoying the afternoon sun.

The beautiful and charismatic (what a ham!) Ladyhawk.

A sleepy Mehina (still losing her winter coat).

Cherokee

Cherokee again.

And again. As big as Cherokee is, you can see how narrow his chest is and how long and slender his legs are - traits characteristic of the wolf, who needs to be able to run quickly through grasses, underbrush and snow.
