Black Canyon of the Gunnison

Black Canyon is such an amazing place, but I think all four of us were running on a bit of sensory overload after the scenery of the last week. We did get to watch the afternoon storm roll in, which was very cool.

The Painted Wall. See all those trees at the bottom, before the river was dammed the bottom stayed scoured clean by the fast moving water.




Justine found a face on the Painted Wall...centered vertically, a third of the way in from the left...looks like a genie sipping coffee. See it?



Although we watched the rain sweep down the canyon, it never did catch us.
